VAULTING GAMES

Where is my stuff from Hello Bob by Gisela Rhodes

Set Up: Horse is being lunged on a 20 m circle. One vauler is mounted while the other vaulters are on the outside of the circle spread out in equal distances from each other.  The mounted vaulter experiences the movement of the hrose and develops an independent seat.  the vaulter on the ground are aware of the horse's movement and respect his space.

Vaulters must be familiar with grooming tools.  Vaulters on ground each choose a grooming tool and hold it up while the moutned vaultr is being lunged at a walk.  After one round, the mounted vaulter closes his eyes and the other vaultrs hide the tools behind their backs. the mounted vaulter opens his eyes and names which vaulter has which toool.

Variations: Grou may choose any objects are are safe to be handles around teh horse and be hidden easily.  Vaulters change places and hide the objects at the same time.

Concentrating on the objects helps timid vaulters to relax and find a balanced seat.
